Terilli's We LOVE You!

This morning around 5:00 am, a fire started at our favorite restaurant, Terilli's. We could smell the smoke like it was in our own backyard. We spent a lot, and I mean a lot, of wonderful nights eating Italnachos and sipping wine and martinis while we listened to jazz music. We brought Keaton to Terilli's weekly when she was first born and she would fall right to sleep in her infant car seat while listening to the piano. We ate her with my family after my baby shower and celebrated New Years 2010 here a couple of months ago. Sad for all the staff that are out of their jobs and hope they will rebuild.

SNOW DAY!

Not only did is SNOW today, it down poured. Normally when there is a "Snow" day in Dallas and schools are closed and stores are delayed being opened, I spend the day running errands around town. The "Snow" does not stick and the day usually ends up being beautiful and kind of a waste to have had to have cancelled work. Well, not today. I was at a training about 20 minutes away and as we sat in the room watching the snow pouring down, we counted the seconds until they dismissed us. Finally, around 1:00 the presenter said, "It looks like we have bad weather outside...." Ya think? It took me a good 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot. The Floridian in me came through. It was not until a nice lady, who said she grew up in the north, came to my rescue. I couldn't even get my windshield wipers to work (which actually broke that day, but that is another story). So, driving not over 10 miles per hour home, I finally arrived to safety. This picture is from the next day... our real "Snow" day in Dallas!

Our Little Scientist

Enjoying an afternoon at the Dallas Museum of Nature and Science. Keaton loves learning new things and she had a blast playing in the water while she tested sinking and floating.

Christmas in the Carolinas

This year we ventured out to visit Aunt Kim, Uncle Keith, Kyle, Caden and Quin in North Carolina. We thought we had everything planned out until a double ear infection and sinus infection landed us in PrimaCare on Christams Eve with a 104.9 fever. I have never seen Keaton so clingy, usually she is so independent that she wants nothing to do with me. All she wanted was her mommy and unfortunately the family did not get to see her true personality. We also got to visit with Uncle Dennis, Nana, and Pop Pop who drove up from Florida and Uncle Adam, Aunt Ashly and Elijah flew in from California. Boy, did we have a packed house! Aside from Keaton not feeling so well, we had a wonderful time with the family and were so happy to be all together. The flight there and the way home were another story.... sorry to everyone on those airplanes!

Pumpkin Patch

Mucho Hablar!!! Ma Ma... Da Da... Baby... Ba Ba... Binky... Bye Bye... Night Night... Barley... Good Girl... Aqua... UH OH!... Love You... Beso... Book... Pierce...

She is also constantly clapping for herself, dancing (volar?), putting up her clothes in the hamper, when we sigh, she sighs too with the cutest smile on her face like she knows exactly what she is doing. She loves her baby dolls and loves to hold and kiss them. At bedtime she says "book, book" constantly and wants you to read every book to her. She will sit in your lap and look at each page while you read all the way to the end. She loves books!!! She also loves to feed Barley the foods she doesn't like or isn't in the mood for. She gives it to him straight from her hand. She is also very into hitting him on the head and saying "no, no, no or stop Barley." Her walk has now turned into a run. Recently we took her to the Arboretum to see the pumpkin patch and she loved chasing the crows in the lawn. She has become very independent. When you give her something or want her to do something she will resist, but then turn around and do it herself right away, as if it were her idea. The other day she wanted to go out the front door, but it was raining outside. She had her purse in one hand, her sippy cup in the other, headed for the door and threw herself on the floor in a tantrum when I would not open it up for her. OH MY! We are so in love with her!!!
