Pumpkin, Pumpkins and More Pumpkins!

From the Farmers Market downtown to the Arboretum, we got a full dose of pumpkins this year. "Smile" when the camera is pointed at Keaton is still not working to get that perfect snapshot, but of the 1,000's I took, I was able to pick a few where she was at least looking somewhat at the camera. SMU Weekend 2010

Kaia and Keaton BFF's. Maybe they will be roomies at SMU!!! It was Nathan and Adam's (Kaia's daddy) 10 year reunion. We partied like we were still in college... kind of... we DO have kids now. What a great weekend. Really looking forward to next year - my 10 year and seeing all my girlfriends!

The State Fair of Texas

It's not fall in Texas without a trip to the State Fair of Texas. We went in the morning, mostly to avoid the temptation of all the fried food, and what a beautiful morning it was! It was about 70 degrees and the majority of the crowd was going to the Tech/TCU game (I think that's who it was :)). Keaton could not get enough of the rides. Boy, did we spend a lot of money. The whole idea of buying tickets first then rides, drinks, and food kind of feels like a trick... like you're not really spending money. Luckily, Keaton eventually got sleepy and we decided to head out, pockets empty and bellies full. And yes, I did get an elephant ear... SO good! Can't wait until next year!

Happy 2nd Birthday Sweet Keaton!

Keaton had a great 2nd Birthday! We did an arts and crafts theme and there was a lot of painting. All of her friends came to join in the festivities, and Elmo even stopped by for a surprise visit! The best gift of all was that cousin Elijah and Aunt Ashly from Berkeley came in town to celebrate. We had SO much fun and Keaton and Elijah played so well together. They really enjoyed painting each other too! The other best gift was that Nana from Florida came to celebrate too! See you guys in Florida for Thanksgiving!

On Saturday, September 11th, just two weeks after her 87th birthday, Keaton's great grandmother passed away in her sleep. She lived a great, long life and she was loved by so many people. We will cherish the memories we had with her especially the late night domino games, the dinners at our house, and Keaton pushing her around in her wheel chair. We will see you later Granny.....
